House Churches incorporate Nurture (Study), Worship, and Fellowship alongside their Mission Focus. House Churches covenant together for one year, and each year re-evaluate the call.
The House Church completes a covenant, which can be downloaded here.
Reaching Out (called by Pat Wingo) - Reaching Out is expanding their focus of care and support, particularly with members of the congregation who are experiencing sickness or unable to attend worship regularly. They meet the second and fourth Wednesdays at 10am by Zoom. For more information, contact Pat Wingo or Judy LePera.
Sanctuary (called by Steve Jones) - Sanctuary will continue working to support immigrant neighbors in various ways, including through the Valley Area Network for Transportation Assistance. They meet Wednesdays at 8pm by Zoom, starting on Wednesday, October 7. Contact Steve Jones or Bill Reinhold for more information.
Marks Groups incorporate one or more of the four marks (nurture, worship, fellowship, and mission), but have a less formal structure. Some are on-going while others may be short-term.
Clothes Closet (called by Kathy Gillette) - The Clothes Closet is seeking to provide clothing to the community in ways that are safe during this pandemic. There are many ways to volunteer with the Clothes Closet. Please see Janet Slough!
Hearts and Hands (called by Linda Bradley) - This group meets virtually the third Monday of each month to knit, crochet, and otherwise craft gifts of care and compassion, including prayer shawls, joy jars, and “shoo boxes.” To get involved, please contact Linda Bradley.
Keister Backpack Program (called by Abby Striebig) - The Backpack program continues meeting vital needs for families at Keister. Packing has moved back to Trinity, and volunteers are needed to pick up food, pack, and transport over to Keister each Wednesday. To get involved, please contact the church office.
Centering Space (called by Mary Lou McMillin) - The ministry and mission is to continue to develop the Centering Space website in ways that offer resources and opportunities for people to experience and grow in their practice of contemplation, action, renewal, and
expression. We will also be working to complete the renovation of the physical spaces and develop opportunities for CARE in those spaces as well. If you are interested in cultivating, curating or leading opportunities in Contemplation, Action, Renewal, and Epression, please join us! Contact Mary Lou McMillin for more information.
